Solid black: artist tips

Density starts not with more passes, but with skin control, correct speed and understanding the pigment.

Solid black: artist tips

Density without unnecessary trauma

The main mistake is trying to build saturation through extra passes. First establish stable technique, angle and speed.

01. Skin preparation

Stretch creates a controlled surface. Without it, even good pigment starts behaving unpredictably.

02. Hand speed

Too fast creates gaps. Too slow increases trauma. Density comes from a consistent rhythm.

03. Healing

The result is judged after full healing, not at the end of the session. That is why healed photos matter more to me than fresh ones.
