ABOUT THE PIECE
The story behind it.
A Black & Grey realism practice piece created on synthetic tattoo skin, featuring a blooming rose with layered petals and detailed leaves.
The composition explores depth, light direction and smooth tonal transitions. Particular attention was given to the structure of the central bloom, the natural curvature of the petals and the subtle textures of the surrounding leaves.
The main objective was to improve shading control, build realistic volume and develop a stronger understanding of contrast and tonal balance.
This piece represents an early stage in my artistic development and an important step toward mastering Black & Grey realism techniques.
